michael2595
Apparently, this new highway will cut driving time dramatically. I would think fewer people would come here for festivals and such and won't clog up the roads as they will head out to PV instead. bournemouth
This new road has been in the building process for a LONG time. I'm not holding my breath on it being finished in the time frame stated in the above linked article.
pappysmarket
The environmental impact of the last section has not even been approved. Good idea to not hold our breath.
Zach Matuszak
Isn't there a "back road" system that you can take to get from Guad to PV?

Won't get you there any quicker 'tho, but will be less costly due to no cuota fees.
RVGRINGO
Yes, and the scenery is fantastic. Mascota is a good lunch stop, or even San Sebastian, if you get a late start. The mountain driving will keep you awake. There are also a few potential side trips along the way. Check your maps. Volcan is an interesting one. pappysmarket
There are only 3 roads in and out of PV. The cuota, through Ameca and from the south through El Tuito. By air is much faster.
