Miriam Beltran
Hola In this case "conga" means a Mexican cocktail made of a mix of tropical fruit juices like pinneaple, grapefruit, orange, etc. A "conga" may or may not have alcohol in it. Miriam Beltran
If you google "conga bebida mexico" you will get lots of pics and recipes I like it but mixed with alcohol is one of those you shouldn't have more than one of!
More Liana
The drink in the photo is a delicious, refreshing, conga, as served at Fonda Marceva, Abasolo 455, Morelia, Michoacán. kbleitch
And what a great place is Fonda Marceva in Morelia!!! Mil gracias a More Liana for recommending this to us in early 2016. We've dined there during both of our visits to Morelia.
cedros
I wonder where the word conga came from.
Travis
Oh no. Did someone say Fonda Marceva??? I still crave the aporreado (sp?). (I've had Conga before and they are definitely tasty! The times I've had it though the drink wasn't red. Probably depends on local fruit season/region, etc.)

You took me to Fonda Marceva the first time--and I took that picture of the red conga while you were sitting at the table! Jajajaja!
