henrylaxen
Dear Group, While I was out for my walk today I sadly encountered the body of a recently killed dog lying in the gutter on the side of the road. It is just across the street from the Centro Oftalmologo pictured below. Does anyone have any idea whom to call to pickup and dispose of the corpse? If so, please post the info here so the next time I search I will find it. Thanks in advance. Best wishes, Henry Laxen
johanson
What they used to do on the back streets of upper Ajijic, was to simply put some type of white power on the dead dog to make it decompose faster. It was really sad. I hope they have a better policy these days.
bmh
Johanson the white powder is called Lime m A horse or a cow takes a year to disappear when covered by lime... remember the corpses on the hill going up or down to Ixtlahuacan...
CHILLIN
That was a type of very caustic lime called "quicklime". It is very dangerous to use and very difficult to find today (too many accidents). It generates explosive high heat when mixed with water. If it was quicklime, the composition would be less than a couple of weeks. Someone seems to quickly pickup the deaduns along the libramento and Chapala/Guadaljara carretera.
