ibbocat
No but it's a type of Vitamin C and you can buy those tablets in Walmart, might be worth a try?

spacedebris
I think that you can find ácido cítrico at the grainery next to Gossips on the carretera--if you don't see it ask, they are very helpful. It is very inexpensive in bulk. I usually buy it by the kilo at the Abastos. As for the vinegar, it also works but some coffee maker manufacturers do not recommend it as a cleaner. I can't say if it damages anything since I have used both and the results seem similar. I think the citric acid is easier to rinse out without leaving a smell or taste. mudgirl
Friend of mine used to clean his thermos by filling it with water and dropping in a Polident tablet. Dissolved all the crud, but can't say if it would be safe for a coffee maker.
