Approximate Costs of Root Canal and Porcelain Crown

Can anyone who has had a recent dental root canal and/or porcelain crown done in Ajijic/Chapala tell me what the approximate costs are?  I am not looking for the cheapest dentist in town,  Need a competent, well trained and experienced dentist or endodonist with a modern, clean practice.  Thanks.

Can't help with the cost but I would also recommend Dr. Barragan in Mirasol for  endodontist work. Google that office as they might have a contact capability or general costs.

Also Dra. Candy Ugalde has also been getting very good reviews at Lakeside for a number of years. I can't attest that she is an endodontist but is doing root canals, implants and of course crowns. Dental Health One. Across from Walmart.

Dr.Candy is excellent, she also brings in specialists from Guad.  Very modern and clean clinic. Cheaper than Dr. Barragan

Dental Express, Dr. Macias has an excellent practice plus all the latest dental equipment to complete the entire procedure in-house..ie a 3d scanner and device that creates the new tooth..All accomplished at their facility in West Ajijic..

Dental Express is the cheapest in town, so you can draw own conclusions from that.

I just had a root canal and crown done in April. Root canal was approximately $1800 pesos and the porceleine crown was also approx. $1800 pesos. Have had crowns and bridges done over last 9 years. Always been happy. Dra. Maria de Lourdes, 765-2800, Chapala.

You're just not going to give it up, are you Z4. Several people, including me, have given their testimonials about the place. But you, who has never set foot in the place nor talked to them, are intent on spreading your negative comments and snide remarks.  Can you help me understand this?

It's amazing how someone who posts to anything and everything on this board can't read and comprehend a post...

The OP said and this is a direct quote from the OP

. "I DON'T WANT THE CHEAPEST".  now what is so hard to understand about that...?   I'm beginning  to wonder if there are referral fees..

Like a lot of dentists and medical physicians  etc.  There are those who are praised and not really liked at all.   The Dental Express is in a different position because there is more than one practioner.. I am one that wished I had had a different dentist assigned to me.  Not mentioned here.

When a 'Direct Quote' turns out to NOT be a direct quote at all, one has to wonder about the quote'r. This is reminding me more and more of a 'situation NOB', just without the tweets!

And the OP has probably long since wished he/she had never asked.
