John Shrall Posted April 12, 2017 Report Share Posted April 12, 2017 I have used Dr Gonzales at Maskaras over the years for a variety of sports related injuries. Lately I've felt his diagnoses to be a little suspect so I went to Dr Gabriel Martinez Sandoval at Quality Care. While I have nothing bad to say about Dr Gonzales I was very impressed by Dr Martinez. With options available at a very reasonable cost it makes sense to get multiple opinions. None of my injuries required surgeries so I cannot speak to that subject. Natasha Posted April 12, 2017 Report Share Posted April 12, 2017 Dr. Javier Velez is an ortho/trauma specialist that comes to the Clinica Ibarrra in Chapala a few times a week. (1 1(2 blocks EAST of bus station.) He operated on me (carpal tunnel) in tandem with his "working partner", another ortho specialist, with whom he studied and graduated from the university in Guanajuato when it was considered one of the best in Mexico. He has been excellent, has made house calls, and has chosen especially good assistants for the surgeries. Other than this, and possibly next week, he comes on Thursdays to Dr. Leon's office. Cronopio Posted April 13, 2017 Report Share Posted April 13, 2017 Dr. Gomez repaired a shattered finger (one bone broke into 5 pieces) for us. The finger healed nicely, and he also did a good job of guiding us through the out-patient surgery process at the hospital. I'd go to him again.
