Calamari

I want to try the El Fogon de Charlotte calamari- it's on my list for this week. As for frying it myself, I've never done it. Is it a sautee type, as in pan-fried? Or deep fried? Obviously, I haven't done much frying. What type of oil? Heat? If you don't mind a few directions I'll try it! Who knew Walmart would have a good frozen product?

El Fogon de Charlotte is verrrrrry good!  I have eaten just about every menu item, and I have no complaints.  The Pulpo salad is great, the dressing is wonderful. The Pork Shank-Chamorro- falls off the bone, delicious sauce.  If you haven't tried it, GO!

The Pork Shank Chamorro is the best we have ever had.  Your choice of side - sweet mashed potatoes or baked potatoe or salad. Huge portions.  Really good food - we love going there.  Traffic can be a little noisy but if you go after 6pm it's quieter. Nice patio tables and Lori is always smiling and happy to see you!  We love the Calamari too!  Yum
