Organic Soymilk

Does anyone know if there is organic soymilk available Lakeside.  Prefer not Walmart, but have been know to actually enter a Walmart (begrudgingly) in the states to buy it.  Prefer WestSoy brand as it is the only one I have found (organic, unsweetened) with absolutely no additives.  I don't have access to Costco.  Have found that this is the best product to keep my estrogen in check - for all sorts of issues.  Thanks.

Isn't the problem with soy milk/soy products among "those of the faith" is not that they are organic, but the great bulk of soy today is GMO. Maybe do some more research as to exactly what in soy products is helping you and then trying to buy that. Sounds like a project for Sr. Google?

Sorry if I came across as abrupt. I know soy milk is very easy to make, and you may have more luck seeking out organic soybeans, possibly the "graneria" in Ajijic. Once you make soymilk, all sorts of healthy soy products become available. Here is a website with some of the possibilities. Difficult to ship to Mexico though, many items by air are xrayed, and liquids (yogurt starters) are not allowed by air. Anyways, welcome to the board - would love to hear more of your adventures! Maybe we can share some cultures?

also on Mercadolibre. There is a service which picks up from Costco, the charge $1.70 U.S. per item, minimum 7 items, extra for heavy items. Do you want the website?

edit: Wow, I (tried) to help you, and up comes a great Mexican seed source that I never knew about. I guess that's how the real world works! Thank you.

jajaja!!  For those of you who don't know Spanish, the word "soy" means "I am".  So, Soy Milk would mean "I am milk".  In espanyol, the soybean is called "soya" which you need to know if you talk to Mexicans about these products.  Soy milk is called "leche de soya".

Thanks to all for your replies.  Many helpful suggestions.  I have looked into making my own soy milk, but in the states it is too easy to just buy it.  I have not been to Lakeside for a couple of years and am sure there are more options now than the last time I was there.  I did not know there is a health store next to Super Lake, that is good news.  I am familiar with the Granaria, and am happy to know it is still there.  I did know about the Costco service, but thanks. So thanks to all once again.
