jrm30655
Anyone know where this restaurant is? Somewhere west of Ajijic, mountain side is all I know. Good directions appreciated
bournemouth
I think you mean Arileos. It is on the lake side of the carretera, just before Piedra Barrenada. http://arileosteakhouse.com/home/
jrm30655
Thanks. That's what I think also. Been there before, good place
Mainecoons
We made the mistake of going there not long after it opened and were not impressed. Haven't been back until now and it is so transformed it doesn't even feel like the same place. Party of 11 celebrating a birthday. Nice decor now, rugs on the floor to cut the sound, excellent food and flawless service. We are definitely putting this on the regular list. ComputerGuy
This was a go-to place that went completely downhill over a year ago. Chefs leave, family loses interest, and on and on. I'd be interested if it has come back from that tailspin.
Mainecoons
Tonight they had it all together. That's all I can testify to. We don't eat out all that much and this is only the second time we've been there since it opened.
Tomas
It is a little out of the way but we have always had good service an meals there..Nice drinks and always clean..Somewhat noisy when semi-crowded but a great place for large gatherings and they will work in setting the desired seating and overall menu for groups in advance of your event A keeper for our area.. Al Berca
I think it is past SJC and very near the large, green, over the highway Bienvenidos to Jocotopec sign. Excellent food atmosphere and service. Priced accordingly.
cedros
East of San Juan Cosala.
ComputerGuy
Almost immediately past La Cristina, going west.
gringal
We just came back from dining at Arileos, just past the Jocotepec sign heading west. (WAY before you get to San Juan Cosala). So, I don't know what restaurant you folks are talking about, but it was exactly the same as it was the last time we were there. No rugs, no change in decor, no change in menu. Same staff aside from the fella that left and went to Avocado. Excellent salmon. Empty during the lunch hour today, but dinner is probably busier. On the way, we noticed that Monte Cristo is gone and Ancla had a bunch of cars out front. Now WHICH restaurant are you talking about??

Carnivore
Going west towards San Juan Cosala and Jocotepec it's not quite 1km. past the entrance to La Cristina on the south side (that's the lake side) of the Carretera. Virtually impossible to miss!

Mainecoons
Yeah. looked like some rugs. I didn't look too close. A lot of nice stuff on the walls too. Mainly though we all like the food and service.

Best salmon in town.
