TelsZ4 Posted January 2, 2017 Report Share Posted January 2, 2017 Drove home from the beach (Melaque) Today (Jan 2nd). Many of the OXXO and Kiosko stores along the highway were out of food.. No sandwiches, hotdogs, pastries, very limited selection of anything edible.... Didn't think I could make it back to Ajijic.. I did but MY tank was on empty... Whats going on...? Are OXXO and KIOSKO hoarding foodstuff to create a shortage so they can increase their prices 20% and blame it on the price of gas.... Anyone heard this..? Some advice.. JayBearII Posted January 2, 2017 Report Share Posted January 2, 2017 They always run out of prepackaged sandwiches on holiday weekends because so many people are on the road. I remember staying at a hotel and asking at breakfast if they would make a couple of sandwiches for us--of course, this only works if you are staying over somewhere and they are serving breakfast!!!
