Jabonera
New to the area & interested in finding a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine... Any suggestions (with experience)? Thanks in advance.
Kevin K
Dr. Victor Garcia (154 Morelos in Chapala, almost directly across the street from El Zapote restaurant, phone 765-2320) is an M.D. with a long-established Integral Medicine practice who does acupuncture and is quite experienced (he began training in China in the 1970's). The chiropractor Dr. Victor Youcha (766-1973) in Ajijic also does acupuncture and offers some Chinese herbs. Neither are "full fledged" TCM practitioners but perhaps they can help you, and they may also be able to recommend TCM practitioners in Guadalajara. virgogirl
I was going to Victor Garcia until he was in a nasty car accident a couple of months ago. He prefers to work with Chinese medicine, but is also knowledgeable in general allopathic practice as well. I am not sure if he is seeing people full-time now, but drop in or call and ask Lizette, his receptionist. You need Spanish to speak to Liz, Dr. Garcia does communicate in some English, but preferable if you have Spanish there.
