lcscats
Make sure you get bigger oval shaped Shaw dish E75 is model I believe otherwise clouds can cause reception problems more often with smaller dish. You can also get 4 ft round dishes which work just fine since both sats are in same location but different frequencies unlike US sat services that have birds all over the sky. Avoid real old sat recievers that don't do MPEG 4. You will not get the third bird as it only goes south to San Fran.
ComputerGuy
You need the bigger oval dish to properly get both satellites with HiDef. You can use round dishes with a special adapter. And AFAIK, lcscates, that 3rd bird barely crosses the Canadian border into the US. There are sat maps on the web that show this.
johanson
Both satellites are very close to each other Anik F-1fr is at 107.3 degrees W and Anik F-2 is at 111.1. That is why the satellite dish is elliptical rather than round check this out http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/america.html
lcscats
So get the big oval dish is what all this means. It does matter. It does help to peak the dish once a year as over time my HD Detroit PBS gets flaky in the clouds. It amazes me Shaw works as well as it does.
