alacran26
Has anyone had problems using a USAA debit or credit card in an ATM at lakeside? I have a friend that has one and no ATM will accept it. She even had a new card sent and still does not work. Thanks
Lexy
Our USAA debit cards work very well with ATMs at SuperLake and CI banco. USAA recently replaced our MasterCard debit cards with a Visa debit card with a chip. The new ones work well, too, at the same places. RVGRINGO
Perhaps Alacran26 missed the USAA change and is still trying to use the obsolete Mastercard, which is no longer active. USAA has changed both their credit and debit cards from Mastercard to Visa. New cards were mailed and there was an overlap period to allow members to make the change and activate the new card before the old ones became inactive. NoVaDamer
We used our USAA Visa debit card at one of the Walmart ATMs yesterday, no problemo.
chicamysterious
I use usaa . perhaps you should contact usaa and let them know you are using it in Mexico. I did have that happen once.
alacran26
Thank you for your responses. I'll check with the person to make sure she has the right card and probably a new PIN number.
RVGRINGO
When she got the new card, it should have had the same PIN as the old one, but the card does need to be activated, either online or by phone. Has she done that yet?
MtnMama
I have used my new chipped card at both CI Banco and Santander with no problem. Your friend probably forgot to activate the card.
