Traffic Problem at the Airport Last Night/\?

Came past the airport last night heading south from Guadalajara around 6:30pm.  The road into the airport was 2 solid lanes of traffic which spilled out onto the main Chapala road causing further congestion.  Anyone know of any current issues at the airport?  We have guests leaving around 8:30am tomorow so just trying anticipate and last minute problems...

Could be the roadconstruction in front of the terminal. Last week at about 6:00am it took me about 5-10 extra minutes, but the traffic started passing the entrance of the parkinggarage Within a few hours I'll arrive back to gdl, I'll update then if there are any other issues.

Didn't see anything else then the road construction this afternoon. As only two lanes are open for normal traffic which are also both used for unloading/loading passengers it is generating pretty much traffic. Also one or two pedestrian crossings are closed so the remaining crossings are much busier with pedestrians and generating even more traffic.

The airport was extremely congested this morning at 6:30pm!  Dropped off guests from the right hand lane, close to terminal doors, then HAD to turn right with the rest of the traffic flow and head back past all the car rental places.  Slow, but traffic kept moving - allow at least an extra 10 minutes extra and maybe more for other times in the day.  Thanks for the your comments ednet94.

A FRIEND JUST ADVISED THAT IT'S LIKELY BEST TO PLAN ON IT TAKING AT LEAST AN EXTRA HOUR TO GET FROM LAKESIDE TO THE AIRPORT IN GUADALAJARA AS A RESULT OF HIGHWAY ROADWORK AND LANE REDUCTIONS?????  IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM TODAY IN DRIVING TO GUADALAJARA OR THE AIRPORT WOULD YOU AGREE?  THANKS

Just came back from Guad and the traffic in line to exit the southbound lane was very backed up on the highway- nothing was moving!

You've suggested that as you were driving south from Guadalajara, in the vicinity just to the north of the airport, the highway became congested because of vehicle traffic that was heading north from Lakeside, but couldn't exit as they normally would,  to enter the airport.  (At the airport, exiting to the right and taking the regular overpass directly into the airport)  but instead, as a result of something (construction, accident, dead dog or horse?) had to continue considerably further north to the next return overpass and that's what's causing the traffic tie-up?  Is that accurate?  Thanks.
