Guest English Rose
I got an email from Tangerine (part of Scotiabank) looking for personal info on an account. I have never had an account with either bank but it was easy to see it was a phony request by their grammar.... Please read with attention our message! It went on telling me to open the account within 24 hours otherwise I would have to go to one of their branches.....didn't say why. Tangerine doesn't have branches! Apparently there is more information in the link they sent, but I'm not opening it. I have sent all of this info to Tangerine security. I had a similar email about 3 weeks ago looking for info but when I forwarded it to their security, I never heard from them. Has anyone else seen this lately? mudgirl
Not this one, but I get spam emails from what claims to be Banamex telling me I need to update my information or I'll be locked out of my account. I have never had a Banamex account.

mudgirl
The Banamex ones are coming in on Yahoo mail. (Please don't tell me to switch email providers, I don't have the time to inform all my clients that I have a new email address)
ComputerGuy
Doesn't really matter which service; once a spammer gets ahold of your address, it gets resold an untold number of times to other spammers, and poof! you're invaded. Jistme
Got a notice a few days ago supposedly from Shaw T.V.service ....coming from the Canadian address. They warned me that I had to pay fifty-some dollars to them, as payment for managing my Shaw account. Of course they couldn't find my Visa card number, and wanted all the information. Be warned!
