bajandy
Where can I get turpentine. I need it to create a medium for oil painting. Have tried Amazon MX but get all tangled putting in my Mexico address and they say undeliverable without giving a reason - I am confused. Found some on mercado libre but they want 1000 pesos for a 4 oz. bottle which is beyond ridiculous.
Semalu
Google turpentine vs thinner, then go buy some thinner at any paint store (they call it Tin err) . Real cheap
John Shrall
I was told that "petroleo" which is sold by the liter in hardware stores like Jara's is turpentine. I use it to soak wood in the chiminea in lieu of other flammable substances. It may not work for your purposes but it's cheap to test out.
bournemouth
I think petroleo is paraffin - at least it was in Sonora.

stuphel
Have you tried the art supply store on Marcos Castellanos in Ajijic? I would think they might have it or would know where to get it.
Shira
I ask for aguaras when I need turpentine. I get it in paint stores. It is very cheap. I have used it when painting with oil paints and when I use house paints.
