J.Miller
I am inquiring for a friend who is in need of a "dental makeover". She is terrified of Dentists but needs some "pain free" work done (fillings/extractions maybe) and would like to discuss some cosmetic procedures; possibly some porcelain veneers and definitely some thorough cleaning to remove stains from coffee, smoking etc.. Please P.M. me with any personal experience you would like to share! Someone who speaks English is preferable.

lacey010684
I highly recommend Dr. Eloy Barragan at Chapala Dental in Mirasol, 765-5584. He speaks excellent English. He is a dental surgeon, meaning 3 more years of training than a normal dentist, and he can use different medications. A normal dentist cannot freeze me. Dr. Eloy can. He makes sure all treatments are pain free, and when necessary prescribes meds to keep me relaxed, most recently for implanting a tooth. His office is modern and has the latest technology, including digital xrays.
daisy2013
Highly recommend Dr Candy now located near Steren at Laguna Plaza
lumieretoo
For the past 15 years I I have been going to Ajijic Dental - Dr. Rosio Vidrio. Plaza San Juan. Upstairs across from Telmex. Have had cleanings, fillings, crowns, one extraction and a bridge done by her. Super attention to detail. A great dentist!
sm1mex
Second recommendation for Dra. Candy. Dental Health One just east of HSBC across from WalMart
RickS
Second and third Dr. Eloy Barragan in Mirosol. He might be a few more pesos and his appointment schedule might be farther out due to popularity and skill set and his perfect English, but I would let him do anything dental for me and I can't say that about all other dentists I have visited at Lakeside. el bartman
I would suggest http://hectorharodds.com/ There are cheaper dentists however.
simpsca
Dr. Barragan is the best!
Lisa Hampton
This is a 3rd recommendation for Dr. Candy. She has done a fabulous job on my husband's and my teeth. I just got 4 crowns done, and my husband got an implant and 3 crowns. We are both exceedingly happy with the quality and professionalism of Dr. Candy and her staff. Good luck on your dental work! Gilligan
Dr Barragan is one of the best around and consistently the one with the highest number of positive recommendations. There are plenty who are cheaper, but not many better
johanson
I too have had very good luck with Dr Hector Haro DDS. Yes I found him a little more expensive than some. But I believe the extra expense is well worth the great work and service
chapala45900
Dr.Haro or his staff have been our Dentists for 20 years, and we have been given excellent care and had few dental issues due to the thoroughness of this office. If there is a need for a specialist..they refer you to those in the city with excellent recommendations and are highly educated in their specialty. I agree with those above.. also using purified water in the clearing is something few even think to check on...but that is important and this office does it correctly. Your teeth and their health can affect the entire body. I hope your friend will have a great experience and I share the fear of Dentists..but not since I have been with these highly trained Dentists. They will tell you there is no reason to suffer pain in the dental chair and I never have since going to them.
JayBearII
Dra. Pilar at Dr. Haro's office is my favorite--very gentle, I don't flinch when she is cleaning my teeth, but she does a very thorough job. I think it helps that she has small hands. Very professional. Two thumbs up. Dr. Harrow office now charges US Dollars and fees are very high. We use Dr. Candy - she is an excellent dentist and very reasonable. johanson
I had my teeth cleaned at Dr. Haro's several weeks ago, He did not charge in US dollars. I think I paid $500 pesos for my cleaning. I've paid less at a different office, but did not get as thorough a cleaning.
chapala45900
I had the same experience..paid in pesos..and also friends told me their dentist charges 500 and others 600 PESOS. I paid pesos just like Pete...I think there was a misunderstanding about this...Mexico is pesos.
