Mainecoons Posted August 4, 2016 Report Share Posted August 4, 2016 If this storm stays on a westerly track and the low pressure does not dissipate fully as it moves inland, it would pass to the south of us and could dump a lot of rain on the watershed of Lake Chapala. It could give a real bump to raising the lake level. A lot of ifs. The biggest one is whether it will simply dissipate before it makes it into our area. The odds are good it will throw some additional moisture our way. Where the rain can do the most good is south and east of here, which is the lake's watershed. We had a huge amount of rain here last year but because it fell too far west it didn't impact the lake level nearly as much as one might have expected. WillieD Posted August 4, 2016 Report Share Posted August 4, 2016 There is a low pressure, with still disorganized rain, off the coast of Guerrero that is heading west/northwest at 10 MPH that could link with the remnants of Earl around Saturday night and reform into a depression headed for Cabo.
