St. Remy returning to Ajijic

I drove out there yesterday and didn't see a street access from the Carretera. Might try getting to it from Ocampo. Just not real familiar with that area.

It will be easier to turn right (if coming from the West) or left (if coming from the East) onto Rio Bravo because Rio Bravo doesn't have any topes. Then turn right on Ocampo and go a couple of blocks to the correct corner. Reverse to get out because neither the extension of Ocampo from that point or De Las Flores (with the topes) are any fun.

Drive west to the restaurant known as Don Pedro (supposedly still owned by Pedro Arellano).  This restaurant is located on the west side of De Las Flores which runs from the Carretera to Ocampo where the street name changes to Tio Domingo.  Turn right on Ocampo (you will be behind the cemetery).  The next street to your left i(according to the map in the current Chapala Directory is:  "San Pablo".  I'm assuming, from the opening post that the restaurant is right at that corner.  However, the map I'm referring to shows "San Pedro" as the first street that you would encounter on your right if you were to turn towards the lake off Ocampo and continue down "San Pablo".  So, to make it simple: Behind the cemetery on Ocampo!

For those who don't know and if definitely leads to much of the confusion with street names in Ajijic.  All streets running south (towards the lake) have a name change when you reach Constitucion/Ocampo. For example when you go south on "Colon" and get to the third intersection (First intersection is "Zaragoza";  second intersection will have "Parroquia" to your left and "Hidalgo" to your right; third intersection will have "Ocampo" to your right and "Constitucion" to your left.  And, if you remain on what was Colon until that point and continue south towards the lake the name of the street changes to "Morelos".

Why all the name changes?   It's just a small village but when naming the streets didn't want to leave out any of the most important Mexican historical figures and/or places or historical events of importance.

Yesterday we found St. Remy's new location.  Oh Happy Day!    The route we took:   Turned off the carretera onto Las Flores (Don Pedro restaurant, French Bakery, new brew shop) heading makai ( toward the Lake.)   Turned right at Ocampo.   Passed the Panteon on the right.   Turned left onto San Pedro (first street to left after the Panteon.)  Kept driving until we noticed a newly painted wall (smashing tangerine color) and turned right onto a no-sign (LOL) street.   A young man was working outside #10 A and we inquired if a restaurant would be opening there?  Yes.  St. Remy?  Yes!   When?  Aiming for November 16.    The FB page for St. Remy du Lac also has "directions"  (click on "about") and gives the street address of Calleon San Francisco #10 which on Google Earth matches the above findings (do not use "search" as it will send you to Riberas; just negotiate to the neighborhood using the above directions and look for a U-shaped street east of where Urea dead-ends..    There seem to be more than one FB page so be sure to open the page that includes the SF address and has a photo of plated foie gras.    Two phone numbers given:  376-766-0607  and 331-603-7343
