Flexi store on Ajijic Plaza

Recommended Posts

I was at this store today with friends - a great addition to our shopping venues but the point of this post is that the store is selling the cutest little wood carvings of houses, done by children in the Salvajes Running Club program.  The carvings are done in a local wood called (I think) pochote.  The proceeds go to buying running shoes for those children who cannot afford  them.  Prices start at 50 pesos - wonderful little gifts for visitors to take back with them.  You will find the carvings in a glass showcase on top of the counter in the rear of the store.

The owner told us that he gets new shoe styles weekly - this is a great location to find shoes for comfort on cobblestones.
