holdrja
Canela's moved to their Rio Bravo location about 10 days ago. We had a nice lunch there yesterday - the barbecue brisket sandwich is awesome! Nice side dishes - a little green salad with a red wine reduction vinaigrette, some fairly standard coleslaw. One of us changed our salad side order to the potato wedges -- didn't make the request in time - so the owner brought us a plate of potato wedges on the house. Waiter was a little befuddled but hopefully that will improve. La Mision will continue to provide dinners in this beautiful location, while Canela's provides breakfasts and lunches. Nice! Kyle
We have had breakfast there and it was excellent. The waiter needs a lot of training, hope the owner reads this as bad service can kill an otherwise good restaurant
Canela's Café
Our server is still in training as we have only been open for a week. We appreciate the input and would like to know more specifically what the sever lacked so we can train him more properly. We always want the service to match the food! Thanks again guys! We hope to see you again soon, despite our server.
Joyfull
For Canela's....we had breakfast there earlier in the week. Great food and great presentation. We will leave the waiter training to you. Only negative for me was the coffee. It wasn't very hot. The problem could be the cup which are more like tea cups. Mugs work better to keep it hot and your waiter won't have to work so hard at refills. Hope this new location works out for you.
