Podologist needed for diabetic feet

Recommended Posts

Most are not as medically trained as in the USA. Stick with a good physician; perhaps at Quality Care/Medicos Especialistas.  I assume that you wish to keep walking on your own feet.

I am going to agree with RV. Diabetes has its own set of issues and podólogo are NOT doctors. Giovanni is a very nice person but he is not medically trained. I would check with the local group clinics such as Quality Care or Integrity.

Hi 5Jacks,

My wife has a bad case of in-grown toenail and we want her to get the best care. The number you had left for Giovanni (331) 168-0268  is no longer valid.

Can you (or anyone else) provide any current contact info for Giovanni?

Thanks in advance

I just checked with a personal friend of Geovanni's and he says that is the correct number for him. Maybe you can keep trying or don't understand what the message said in Spanish, perhaps? Maybe he is late in paying his bill?  His email address is podoyova@hotmail.com

You can find a very good PODOLOGO  in Chapala. Av. Hidalgo No. 226-c  Monday to Friday 9 am - 1 pm     3pm -5.30 pm

  Phone # 765 3783          By appointment only.                                             Saturday 9 am - 1 pm.

My 91 year  mother has been going there for more then  year. Very  satisfied with the care she receives. Close to Spencer's office.

I can not say the same about Dr. George. I found them to be unprofessional when they were next to Integrity  Clinic.

I have been to all three of these podologos over the last year trying to get a badly ingrown toenail fixed.  None are able to inject lidocaine as they are not doctors. They only use topical lidocaine. So there is only so much they can do without sending you through the ceiling in pain.  I'm still trying to find a podiatrist, or any medical professional, here or in Guadalajara, that can inject lidocaine to completely numb my toe so that my nail can be cut down to the quick. I think that is my only option.  Anyone know of someone like this?

I know of a doctor who is a podiatrist specialist, he would want to drag you in the Guadalajara private hospital for bunions or toenail removal. It might be easier, and a lot less money, to visit the Community Hospital in Jocotepec and schedule an appointment with one of their surgeons. If you don't have Seguro Popular insurance, I am positive the costs will be surprisingly minimal. I know bunion surgery is covered by SP. An unfortunate flaw in nature's plan that we age upwards from our feet!

Thank you!  I'll check into the Joco Hospital option.  Who is the podiatrist specialist in case I need to look at that route?

He is a true treasure. He is from a quite famous Mexican family, a personality off the scales. If he takes you under his wing, you are good for life, for all sorts of things, a decent, very caring man. I will ask him if he is wanting new patients and will email you privately. He mostly does house calls, cuz he likes to drive his very hip car collection. He charges about $1000 us for a bunion and a surgical team, including Anesthesiologist. For after care, probably about 250 pesos per house call.

Here's your man - he has always had a house in Chapala area as well as Guadalajara.

I asked him -Dr. Dan - Dr. Arturo D. Sanz, Podiatrist (D.P.M.). email azitirat @@@ hotmail.com

Cel phone 33 1197 9322

His card says that he only makes housecalls on Mondays in Chapala, but I don't think this is true anymore as he has leased out his office building in Guadalajara. You won't regret it.
