The official station for this contest that measures rainfall is the one in Riberas and it has indeed met the requirement of two rainfalls over an inch. On the other hand, the satellite views shows this is not a typical monsoon pattern but is anomalous and may be related to the unusual weather in the U.S. Southwest. Tentatively we'd have to award the win to the person who picked the closest date. That would be Mistermister who had June 6. What do you all think? Is this the real monsoon or a false start? We definitely have to award Mistermister for the best guess of when the rainy season started. It certainly looks like I was wrong about it being late. That is good, I like being wrong about that.
