if its not broken dont fix it. wait untill you hear from her. when she recovers she may want her job back. tell the new person the work is temporary & have her sign.

What I did not mention is that her work has been barely acceptable, but I've let it go due to her illnesses....many.  I have given her thousands of pesoes for her her and her extended family...so don't you dare question my heart!

Muchas gracias, Sonia.  Her work has been just barely acceptable for over a year and I don't want her health damaged further, while I continue to pay for substandard work.  It's soo hard, because I really like her.

if the work was un acceptable, AND she left, AND you gave gifts: what is the problem? she is not creating a conflict, you are. she hasnt asked you for severence.
