Wait. What?
My maid has been absent for over six weeks due to an illness. During that time there was no contact unless I initiated it, but no clear response. I had to hire someone else. Am I still liable for severance? Semalu
That depends on the condition of the illness and your heart. Otherwise, why not ask Spencer or Sonia to do the calculation for you.
Guest bennie2
if its not broken dont fix it. wait untill you hear from her. when she recovers she may want her job back. tell the new person the work is temporary & have her sign.

I have given her thousands of pesoes for her her and her extended family...so don't you dare question my heart!

Her work has been just barely acceptable for over a year and I don't want her health damaged further, while I continue to pay for substandard work. It's soo hard, because I really like her.
