Zeb
Did a search on the forum and did not see any info on this. I have checked several sources and there is conflicting information about whether or not one can bring in wine, etc. into Mexico. Some of it says you can as a tourist within limited amount. Another says there is duty and somewhere else it says it is not allowed or it depends on the percentage of alcohol. All confusing. If someone knows and can provide a reference to the information, that would be helpful or if you have personal experience....
bournemouth
My understanding is 6 liters of wine per person. I tried to reference the customs law but failed. 3 liters of other alcohols. If you feel brave - you could try and navigate the customs website: http://www.sat.gob.mx/Paginas/Inicio.aspx

I am not fluent, but usually can still find what I need and figure it out, but not in this case. That's why I posted here. Perhaps someone can help. Zeb
I put all that in google translate. The translation is pretty bad. From what I can tell, no alcohol is allowed no matter the mode of entry. Please let me know if that is not right.
conejorapido
Last time I came through the border at Columbia last year, they did a thorough search of the car. We had 6 bottles of wine which they didn't question. When I asked the agent, he said 6 bottles of wine per person are allowed but didn't specify the size. Zeb
Does that say the method of entry does not matter for the amount?
El Saltos
That's airport entry. I believe surface entry is less.

Orygun Duck
What about beer? I recognize that Coors Light etc. likely doesn't qualify as alcohol, but what about good craft beer? (And yes, I also realize that the quality of local craft brew is increasing by leaps and bounds of late.)
