bdlngton Posted March 19, 2016 Report Share Posted March 19, 2016 I'm looming for some advice on best time of year to visit the Riviera Maya near Playa del Carmen, especially in regards to the temperature of the sea. Particularly interesred in hearing from those who have been there in February and/or March. Just returned from a cruise in the southern Carribean and found the water to be surprisingly chilly. tomgates Posted March 25, 2016 Report Share Posted March 25, 2016 We have been to just N of Playa del Carmen the first week of April and the sea temps are just fine. You have to be aware of the underground streams whose water comes up in the ocean and that water can be cooler than the sea temp. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
