Mainecoons
Can one carry a bottle of Tequila on board they brought from home? We're headed to Oaxaca to see Mexican friends and would like to take a bottle of Sandy & Dan Tequila to them as they really like it. Thanks! AlanMexicali
The rule I have seen enforced at times on Volaris national flights if no carry-on can have over a 5 ounce bottle and this includes any creams, shampoo, and pepto bismol etc. I have seen them been taken away. But your checked luggage can have large containers of these ítems, but of course it is checked by the time security takes your stuff away. No water bottles or sodas are allowed in the departure area also is enforced. So no you would have to check it in a suitcase or bag.
michigander
They took my wife's peanut last week on Volaris. It was a 12 OZ jar that was 3/4 empty (no I do not know why she had peanut butter in her carry on). They enforce the liquid rules fiercely

Yo1
A friend just flew with several bottles of wine and had no problems. Wrap your suitcase in the wrapping film and you should be OK.
