Telmex "900" number

Today I received my Telmex bill online (as usual) but I immediately noticed that the total owing was about 100 pesos more than the usual 389 peso balance. In checking it further I found that there were two charges for "900" phone numbers. Each was made within a minute of each other on the same day; the length of the call was one minute and the charge for each call was 45 pesos. I went directly to the Telmex office in Ajijic and was told that "900" numbers are "money" calls (example sex calls or donation for Red Cross). I would have to call the central "help" line. Because my Spanish isn't so fluent the very helpful gentleman in the office called them for me. He explained the charges and that I was sure the calls were not made by me or any other person in my household. The person on the help line said that they would cancel these charges but ONLY ONCE and that all "900" calls from my telephone number would be blocked. Just thought you might want to keep an eye on your phone bill.
