CalGal
Are there any other book exchanges Lakeside now that Cafe Magana is closed? I have about 25 paperbacks I got from Jeffery's before he closed down, and have read them all! I'm getting stressed with nothing to read.
bournemouth
Karina - the thrift stores near Cafe Magaña's old location and over the road and a little west of there have tons of books at very favorable prices. No need to have nothing to read.

MtnMama
Anita's Animals has a booth at the Wednesday Ajijic tiengas with tables of books. Donate what you have to a worthy cause and buy new ones at a reasonable cost

I like my Kindle, but at the risk of stating the obvious............Lake Chapala Society has a nice library, free to members.

bdmowers
At a slightly oblique angle to the subject of book trading but not so on the subject of attaining books inexpensively, I would suggest Better World Books where one can purchase used books from a selection of millions of titles and without incurring shipping costs. Yes, no shipping costs to Mexico.

bdmowers
For me, there is nothing like holding a book. I have tried, again and again, to use the book-displaying computers but always return to the feel of the book whose pages I must continually and delightfully turn. I feel I am holding the very story in my hands. I know what I have consigned myself to and fully accept the consequences.
