My husband is interested in playing chess. I there still a chessboard set up in the plaza? He would be interested in joining a chess club as mentioned above. How would he get in touch with Chuni?

Slightly off the subject but...I bought a chess set for my grandson but he already had one so I no longer need it. It consists of a wooden box, playing surface 12" sq. The kings are 3 1/4" tall, the pawns 1 3/8" tall. Hand carved (Mexican artisanal work). If anyone is interested I would like 300pesos for it.

I'd be interested in that if it's still available. Could you please call me at 331-717-2437, thanks, Ron

There is a children's chess club that meets Saturday's 12-1 on the LCS grounds in which expats teach local children how to play. It has been very successful. I am sure they would welcome a donation of a chess set, if that is something you would consider.

I guess I'd best ask for your address as I couldn't figure out which house it is?
