purplebeads
I would post a picture but I don't know how. There were 2 black medium sized dogs who lived on the lake below me. I believe they were sisters. There was a man who fed them but he was not a squatter. He has been doing odd jobs like herding cows. This has been going on for several years. He had kept the federal land immaculate. I have not seen him for 2 weeks and the younger black dog is missing. The older one is heart broken, they both were always were seeking affection. If anyone knows if a shelter has a new medium black dog . Please pm me. I can send a picture via email. mycasa17@gmail.com
ddmacleod
I have a medium size black female that showed up at la Joya a few weeks ago in pretty bad shape. She is actually a belgium malinois......but a small one. Looks like a black shepherd. Very affectionate. Chases cars.
Newjersey expat
I am sorry to say that I was told by a reputable person that the dog I was searching for was killed by a car. Feeling a little down right now.
JayBearII
So sorry for your loss, if indeed this has happened. Life is so fragile. I hope you will be comforted by knowing that your dog was loved and had a good life with you. All best wishes!
Yo1
The dog killed didn't belong to her. Read the OP.
Newjersey expat
No the dog didn't belong to me. It actually belonged to no one anymore. I fed it, walked it with my dogs, got it fixed and put flea medication on it. She and her mother had the run of the lake and a shelter for several years but were starved for affection. You don't have to OWN an animal to become attached.
