I think they are called garaphon? Anyway, anybody have tips of where to find those (some place with a good selection) besides the two shops in Ajijic - Riberas area. I know about the one on the Libramento and the one in Riberas.

John, it is a wonderful place to wander and explore. Many things sold here come from Tonala. You will find much wider selections and lower prices. You will also find things not sold here.

I am editing this post as I can look up some of my questions about Tonala on line. Thanks for the reminder of this place. We have yet not been there, but it remains on our to do list.

It seems to me it is not quite as far as going into Guad. Am I right?

As of now shopping trips like this are somewhat limited until we locate a car.

It's about the same distance.

I live about 5 minutes away,I usually avoid it on market days,Thursday and Sunday, but if youv'e never been there and want a true Tonala experience go there on one of those days.

Since you don't yet have a vehicle, rather than hire a driver or take public busses, you might want to check with LCS to see if they have scheduled another of their bus trips which go directly to Tonala area.

I am unfamiliar with Angelica's.

Coming from the east entering San Antonio Tlayacapan on the lake side of the street you'll see Panino's restaurant (a block or so before you get to Super Lake. Just3 doors west of Panino's on the same side of the road is the store with a lot of items from Tonala. Across from the beer distributor.

Yes. That is certainly an option I am considering.
