SOSE security/alarm system Chapala

We are experiencing a problem with the SOSE Security/Alarm guys in Chapala especially dealing with a guy named Danny Garcia Marquez. The brand new security system was installed by them, but since the day one the system didn't function right. After a month after the installation the low battery beeping sound started. It beeped every 10-15 minutes, which disturbed us during the day and nights. We complained, and two weeks later the SOSE came; charged as additional $900 pesos the service fee. They took away the faulty part and the alarm did not work at all. After a month calling and nagging about it, they return and installed it back, said they tested but found nothing wrong. Two days later we had the same trouble. After another nagging and many phone calls they came and took the same faulty part again. Supposed for a more testing cause they have to stick to the rules and follow the procedures. We were waiting for another month to put back the defective part. Daniel Garcia lied to us and says that they are bringing a brand new board. Yet, after the installation very next night we jumped from the bed 2:00am because of the same problem. After we complain again, one of his technician Herbert says the board was only repaired. And then they removed the faulty part again for an additional 10 days for more testing.

After 12 days Daniel Garcia says that the defective part failed the test and finally we are getting a new logical bad. ( Alto I have heard that story ones before) he stated it will be replaced two days later on Thursday. As common, nobody shows up on that day nor any phone calls when they will come.

I continued calling his phone no answer... trying every day numerous time and when he finally answered he said he will come on Monday. This goes on and on every week.

Getting in contact with Daniel Garcia it's like pulling the tooth, either he doesn't answer the phone or he says he has to hang up. He'll call me back as soon as possible. Right now he's talking to another customer. He never called me back. He has never replied to any of the emails either.

We are getting tired how Daniel Garcia and SOSE guys treating us and we are in the process to hire a lawyer to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection in Chapala and also file complaints against this Company in Guadalajara.

At present it's 10 months since we are waiting to fix this new alarm system, the main logical board, it's missing for a 4 months, and we are still getting the "manana" treatment.

I'm getting upset because we purchased brand new product for $34,500.00 pesos, in addition, we paid $900 pesos for the service (while the product was still brand new) and as of today we have death system, we are still missing a part, no money back.

I would never recommend Daniel Garcia Marquez and SOSE security/alert system.

Clients and new customers Be aware!!!!!!

One of our neighbors has their system and the outside alarm goes off all the time and they never come check it out. What is the point in having a monitored system if they don't respond to an alarm? Suggest a large dog instead.

We gave up on them years ago because of all of the problems mentioned in the 2 posts above. Additionally they were charging us for monitoring us when in point of fact they weren't! Without doubt the most incompetent organization with which I have ever dealt.

We have had some false alarms and SOSE has always called within 5 minutes. We have also found Danny to be very responsive. When we were not at home, we know they came to check things out. Several friends have the SOSE system and have had good service. Like any other service, people will have good and bad experiences. I guess we are lucky.

We bought a house five years ago that already had a SOSE system installed. We cancelled the contract right away because the system was a motion detection system that would go off if our cats were in the house and every door and window had to be closed. Months later, Juan, who was in charge of the Chapala office then, came to the door with a handful of receipts and asked if we were still customers of SOSE. I brought him a copy of the cancelled contract and then asked him why he wanted to know. He said their offices had been broken into, their computers had been stolen and they had not backed up their data. How's that for a security company?

They have improved significantly since then.

Avalanche thanks to everyone respond and sharing their own experiences. Today I was hit by the "surprise, surprise" lightning fast response..... from Daniel after reading this web log.

Our alarm will eventually receive a new logic board in the next few days- as per Daniel. Aleluja. I'm regretful for not placing my story while ago. It could spare me the aggravation and save their reputation.

I'll hold my fingers crossed so everything will work fine; I don't have to complain anymore and I can move away from negativity. The life would be much more comfortable for all of us.

Let’s (Really) See What Happens.

I don't think things have improved much.  Since we paid for new batteries this year (nearly 2,000 pesos) and then the 4,800 pesos for the year's monitoring - all on 8 April, our system has not worked at all.  They've been out to check it, assured us all was fine, but it wasn't.  So basically since the beginning of April our system has not worked at all.  I was told by Danny today that the part that was to be replaced or fixed had been "forgotten" by the staff!  And was promised a call back about what was being done - today.  Nothing yet.

They say competition is good for customers, so maybe SmartHome in Laguna Plaza might be worth investigating.

Something sounds wrong with this story. Everyone I know that has done business with either Danny or SOSE have been quite happy

No - I had a similar experience and eventually gave up. Got ADT instead. Much better and proper monitoring.

But one should not have to be "lucky" to get the service they have contracted and paid for.  It's just the right way to do business fairly and honestly, not a lottery.

SOSE told me that it is a waste of time to get monitoring from them as the bad guys would be long gone by the time some help would arrive. They said just get an alarm system with a siren to scare bad  guys away unless you are close to the SOSE guys (where ever they may be these days)
