There was no formal adoption and I do not believe the natural mother knows. The child has several siblings who were placed in a shelter by the authorities. My wife and I adopted our son ten years ago when he was a baby,but he was her nephew so it was easy and one of the best decisions I ever made,he's a joy. Good luck!
