Folding Kayaks & Gear

I had a 2 person Folbot for 27 years and bought one new skin in all that time. I was able to sell it for more than I paid in 1977. The only one on the market that rated as highly or even above Folbot was Germany's Kepler. Collapsable Kayaks are wonderful and handle rough ocean or rivers and lakes equally well. I've never heard of this brand Oru Kayak but it should be shopped against Kepler and Folbot.

My first question is have you kayaked before? If so and you are fairly proficient this might be for you if you plan on taking your kayak with you when you travel. If not I would recommend against it. I'd recommend trying out different kayaks first before spending over $1000 on a boat that you might not like and the resale down here would be pretty tough.
