Andreamiller
Has anyone seen any Pillsbury dough in stores Thanks for your help..
cstone
Never have seen it, even at SuperLake. I have used WalMart's dough for a variety of things. They have bread dough, croissant dough, pizza crust dough and even puff pastry dough for you to take home and bake. Worked well for me. You will need the Spanish word for what you want to make. Andreamiller
Thank you very much! Is it located in the frozen aisle ?
Ferret
No, it's located in the bakery and you will have to ask for it unless you want strictly puff pastry and that's usually located along the back wall of the bakery. Occasionally (very occasionally) I found Pillsbury dough in the Mega Comercial Stores...both the croissants and the Cinnamon Danish. But, there's no Mega's Lakeside and really not worth it to drive to Guadalajara. The other thing that I found is that propane ovens just can't floof 'em up like an electric oven does. natbug
I really miss the frozen pie crusts I used in the States. Any chance anyone has ever come across them here?
El Saltos
This belongs in the Cocina section. Mods? Walmart has all kind of baking stuff in the freezer, including filo dough.
k2tog
I bought frozen pie crusts at SuperLake before US Thanksgiving. They are sweet and not super flakey, but they work in a pinch. There are 2 crusts in each container for about 85p.
kgreenbury
Once upon a time Superlake carried 2 or 3 kinds, but hasn't had it forever now. I wonder if they could bring it back if enough people asked? Would have been great for Christmas hors d'ouevres... So easy if you're like me and hopelessly inept working with any kind of dough. HarryB
Ablock west of Colon and a block north of the carretera in Ajijic there is a commercial bakery. They have dough and filo. You may have to order it.
