The Mexican brand we buy for him [lives here in SLP and is 96 years old] is sugar, pomegranate juice and flower water. No artifical ingredients. The birds bring their friends. No idea what pomegranate juice and flower water do to their little insides, but since it is more about what he likes than what is good for the hummingbirds...
