I think you might be wise to avoid that company. I seem to recall reading very bad reports.

You will have no problem renting a car from any one of the many rental agencies at the airport, if you wish. Otherwise, you could take a taxi to Lakeside and rent one locally. Keep it as simple as you can. You know the area.

My current strategy is to book with a rental car company and then register my booking with AutoSlash. I did this about 5 weeks ago and my initial price was 298 for 10 day rental. Through AutoSlash, the price has come down in several steps to 204 dollars. Recommend you check out their site to see how the system works.
