Jeri
A bird flew into my apartment and I think its wing is broken. The poor little thing is sitting in a bowl and I don't know what to do with it. When I picked it up off the floor it tried to flutter its wings and one was at a funny angle and didn't move much. It's just a small thing and I don't want to aggravate it any more. I've run down to the vet's, but it doesnt open for another hour and as i don't speak spanish I can't be sure they can help. If someone has some advice I sure would apperciate it ~ Thanks
natbug
Try calling Berenice's cell 333 196 4150 and ask her advice. She's a very good local vet. Another option is Dr Pepe on the carratera in Riberas. He's at his office all the time including sundays. He speaks enough English for you to communicate with him. 376 765 2717 or 331 182 2955 or 333 496 7078. Good luck.
El Cartero
My suggestion would be to leave it alone to rest. Birds fly into windows frequently but lead with their heads not their wings. Usually just get disoriented and need an hour or three to recover.
