desertdave
It seems that a number of people at lakeside have rain gauges and post how much rain they get after a storm. Can someone tell me where I can buy one either at lakeside or in Guadalajara?
cedros
I bought one at the Garden Center in Riberas.
JayBearII
Where is this? I need a replacement, as the tip broke off mine.
Floradude
The Garden Center is immediately next to the 7/11 in San Antonio, or is it Reberis de Pilar.

puro guero
A 5 gallon bucket and an unfinished broom handle marked off every 1 3/16 inches. Buckets have a slight taper from top to bottom, so the inside area at the bottom is about 85% of the inside area at the top. Spacing the marks every 1 3/16" corrects for the taper in the bucket, with each mark representing 1 inch of rain.
Cronopio
I'm pretty sure I saw one recently in the everything-store on the Ajijic plaza.
lcscats
Skip electronic rain gauges as they tend to break. Lost three over last five years. All the other weather instruments have been fine. Now I use a bucket laugh out loud.
Don Anomino
I sprung for a professional-quality analog rain gauge endorsed by these people: Community Collaborative Rain Network http://www.cocorahs.org/ I mounted it on a PVC tripod frame and put it on my roof. You can buy the gauge through their store. Inner cylinders calibrated in inches and mm are available. The WeatherWay people will ship internationally to Mexico. RVGRINGO
A straight sided tumbler and a ruler work just fine.
