Frijoles
What are the amounts per person that we can bring into Mexico duty/tax-free after a shopping trip to the US? Is there a link to a website where we can print-off the information? Thanks in advance.
Sumofabit
It is in Spanish, but Google Translate fixes that: http://www.sat.gob.mx/aduanas/pasajeros/Paginas/Mercancia_ingresar_Mexico.aspx
Frijoles
Thanks - that's what I wanted. Seems backward that you can bring in more when flying than when driving, doesn't it?
Mostlylost
I have crossed at Laredo bridge #2 many many times with an SUV packed as full as possible of new items. Once with a new gas grill still in it's giant box. I always take the "nothing to declare" lane, and wait for a green light. 2 times red light with full car. "please roll down the window" "what do you have?" I reply things for my house in Chapala in my poorist Spanish. Ok pass have a good day. In May I crossed at 6AM in a Jalisco plated SUV stuffed. Took the nothing to declare lane, normal area was closed. I kept my windows up, smiled and was waved through by aduana. I am not recommending this to others, but I will continue on my annual trip north to load up on things not available or much more expensive here.
