bobsnewadventure
I will be visiting Lake Chapala in mid November and am looking for recommendations for dentist who specialize in dentures. I'd appreciate recommendations with Dentist, name and address, phone numbers and web sites if you have them. Many thanks in advance. Bob
congodog
I'll wait to see who comments. We are interested too. I asked about them for my husband at Dr. Candy's in Riberas. I like her for me as she does a wonderful cleaning on my teeth (using sonic water pick) and is not overly aggressive in treatments. But I asked about the cost of dentures for my husband and she said $9000 (pesos) for each upper and lower. I thought that seemed high, so we might look around. But it is certainly better than NOB. That is the price if you don't need anything else done. (My husband might need some bone filing first and that would be an additional cost.) Dental Express advertises $3500 pesos per upper and lower (I think), but I don't know anything about them other than what I read on these boards. I would recommend a "search" about them on this board before going with them.

crynoutloud
I got a lower partial denture at Dental Express a couple of years ago. I know I saved significantly from NOB. But I do not know if they "specialize" in dentures, but the people are real nice. I would recommend them. If you need a full set of uppers and lowers there might be a specialist in town. There are bad dentist in town too. Some people will never like their dentures and some people like my father have had dentures all of their lives. It is kind of a crapshoot. Good Luck.
