lakeside7
Is Permethrin available in Mexico. Clothes are dipped in it and impregnated to avoid mosquito bites.

feewee
Permethrin is highly toxic to cats - just in case you have a feline friend... (not so for dogs apparently)
mudgirl
Also fatal to shellfish, fish, and some birds.
PORTIMOM
I don't use Permithrin. Here is my approach: Garlic Barrier sprayed in yard (about every 2-3 weeks) cuts back on what is around my house. (They have two bottles at Handymail last I checked/must be used with a spray pump bottle. If you get this, write me for the recipe I use to make the spray! I use Skin Armour soap (must have someone bring it from states) I don't bathe with it, bur rather lather up my hands lightly and smear it lightly on skin/clothes. Haven't been bitten since I've done this, and can even go bare legged now! (Now changed name to this : FaceDoctorX Anti-Mosquito Soap, 100 g (3.35 oz) To further cut back on the assault when I have guests, I burn a special Amazon Citronella Sticks incense, sold on (coincidentally-for it is not made by Amazon) Amazon. Amazon Lights All-natural Premium Citronella Outdoor Garden Incense Sticks with 2.5 - 3.0 Hour Burn Time. Brazilian Andiroba Oil Blended with Citronella, Rosemary & Thyme.
