mexbound
I am curious if LCS is going to have another session where INIPAM cards are issued? If so, do you need to be an LCS member to get one? Thanks
Ellie
IMAPAM applications are available in the LCS office Monday - Saturday from 10-2 (Note: office hours this Saturday the 11th are 10-12 due to Music Fest - tickets also available in the office and at the door) Applications must be returned to the office with required documents/photos by Friday July 17th and cards will be returned the following Friday the 24th at 1:30pm You must bring a photo ID to pick up your card. You do not need to be a member of LCS but must be 60 years of age to qualify. A tourist visa is not sufficient to apply. This is open to all - not just expats. Document/photo requirements are printed on the back of the application along with the questions translated to English.

Your wife can drop off the documents but you must be present on the 24th with an original photo ID to be fingerprinted and to receive your card. Cortland
Can the cards be picked up at LCS at a later date? We will be away on the 24th and not back until the second week of August.

No as you must be fingerprinted...and sign for the card. Just found out today that someone who forgot to pick her card up last time did eventually get a call from Chapala that they were holding her card. This was a month or so after the scheduled pick up date. Can't guarantee that this would happen again.
CHILLIN
When filling out the application there is a section for "mother's name". Do not fill this in unless you have, or want to adopt, a Mexican style name (with your mother's maiden name included).
