I've housesat in three locations in Ajijic in the last year. I am a PhD student in Geography and a writer, studying at the University of Victoria. I'll be looking for a place this August (2015), for a month over December 2015/January 2016 (the holidays) and next summer (May - August) of 2016. I have excellent references.
