white bus on Rio Zula

Down near the pier in Ajijic there is an abandoned car with weeds growing under it, rats living in it, a broken window, nine year old registration, and on occasion, somebody sleeping in it. It has not moved in months and is probably leaking fluids into the lake drainage. The local cops seem completely uninterested as is usually the case. Dealing with it would mean actually having to do something. In their defense they usually do respond quickly to crime scenes after the fact...

The local police don't handle traffic issues, only immediate criminal activities - "found committing". Possibly the State transit officers? I never try to let my NOB experience get in the way of comparing there to here. If there is a way of reporting apparently abandoned vehicles it would probably be through public works. I'm certain Harry could find the answer.

Anyone knows what the story is? It seems abandonned has no plates a flat tire and looks like a governmen bus.

Where should it be reported? Harry? The police?

Try Vialidad.....765-4747. You speak Spanish, see what they say.

Most definitely Vialidad. Three days and no movement, and you're out. My Mom's car can attest to that. On the other hand, getting them to turn up for something is not the easiest...

Thanks Slainte, they say they are sending a patrol car to check it out. That bus is a large one, you would think someone was missing it or reported it disappeared..
