dichosalocura
I read somwhere that they had resumed nationalizing some vehicles at the border. Has anybody tried recently or are in process to do so, what have been your experiences so far? I'm not referring to the fake paper scandal from the airport as in the other thread. How easy is it to do yourself at the border if you speak fairly decent Spanish? What are the steps to take and who do you get in touch with at the aduana office in Nuevo Laredo? I will be going permanente in August and would love to legally nationalize my vehicle myself at the border if that is possible. It is a 2004 ford focus, I hope that it should be fairly easy to nationalize since it was assembled in Mexico. I know I could just sell it in Texas it, but how easy and/or risky is it to nationalize in Laredo? Thanks.
Sonia
By law you must do so through a broker. On another thread I post the contact information for broker at Laredo / Nuevo Laredo. Saludos Sonia
