Telmex Internet Service Suspension

We used to do this each time we returned NOB after our twice-yearly visits. There were always problems - the most annoying of which was the process of getting reconnected. The Telmex office would give us our new modem/router and promise that service would commence with 24-72 hours. It almost never did. Usually it was more like 5-7 days and after numerous complaints to Mexico city. One time we were told that we could not renew the same package (599 MP, as I recall) that we had had before since it had been "over-sold" and would not be available again for a few days, weeks or perhaps months. This latter incident was the last straw and we took out business to Telecable. (There is a reconnection fee (250 MP) with Telecable, but they can usually make the reconnection within a day of your request.)
