If you have CURP number (it is actually is a combination of numbers and letters) it should appear beneath your date of birth on you Residente Permanente.card. Take a look.

Sure it does. The CURP is your unique personal ID number in Mexico if you are a resident. If you do not have one, you may apply at the Palacio Federal in your state capital. For Jalisco, it is in Guadalajara at Alcalde 500. If you have visa, look at the card, since you may already have a CURP. If you find it there, you can print the CURP card on the government website.

We charge 300, it may take a few trips and waiting in line to get the CURP and we nag them daily.

Some have a CURP and do not realize it or need a replacement card.

Here you can enter your CURP number or your name etc. Either way if you have been issued a CURP you will find it here.

Many INM offices have issued CURP numbers for some time but not so in Chapala.

Anybody remember when Curp first came out and you just had to walk into the delagado's office and walk out with original Curp in five minutes? Guess the government decided that was way too easy.

Citizens still can do this. It is immigrants who cannot since sometime in 2013. INM needs to issue CURPs to immigrants now.
