cedros
Does anyone know the name of this product locally? I asked at Walmart pharmacy but just got a blank look.
ajijiccharlie
Mexican Brand Names: Andox®; Datril®; Magnidol®; Neodol®; Neodolito®; Sedalito®; Sinedol®; Temperal®; Tempra®; Tylex® I normally read the generic name on the box of pain killer. I have a box of generic paracetamol which I think it is the same thing as acetaminophen. You will probably have better luck at a regular pharmacy. My favorite is Farmacia Cristina--in the same stretch as El Torito.

El Saltos
Parecetamol is the generic, very inexpensive. Get it at Farmacia Guadalajara.
behnwau
Tylex [Tylenol in English] is available everywhere. I use it for arthritis.
Floradude
As others have said it is PARACETAMOL. Everyone carries it and every Mexican knows what it is. Notice that it comes in 500 mg. tablets (metric) as opposed to the 325 mg. in the U.S.
RickS
As stated, the 325mg tablets are common in the US. There are 500mg tablets there which are sold as "Extra Strength" acetaminophen. I often see 625mg sold as "Arthritis Strength" and it is usually 'timed release'. If one doesn't want the full 500mg dose of the Mexican version a pill cutter can easily be used to reduce the dosage preportionally. Just be sure, if using a pill cutter, that you are not cutting a 'timed release' pill as you will be introducing a lot more dosage than you think.
